| Customer Reviews: Best ever July 18, 2010 jpetro I had been washing and waxing my cars and truck for over 40 tears, this is by far the best I ever used. With just a little elbow grease it even removes tar. One review said that suds ran out, I didn't have that problem, just measured by eye in a 3/4 full 5 gallon bucket with hot water and your good to go. I love Meguiars products but stay away from their tech wax. You will not be disappointed with this car wash.
OK car soap May 2, 2010 Steve (Santa Cruz, California) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
For $7 bucks I can't complain much, but am.
Pros:
Does an OK sorta of good job
Cons:
1. Doesn't maintain suds nor soapiness. I start at the front, work around the passenger side, rear end, then the drivers side. By the time I got to the rear, the suds had diminished and the soapiness of the water long gone calling for a refill. Mind you, 1/3 cup of soap to two gallons of water one should expect more, right?
2. Has a perfume odor. I want my cars cleaned not smelling like some imitation gaga flower.
3. Same cleanliness and sudsiness[sp] as Meguiar's Next Generation [lavender/purple color]. Big hype; name and color change does not equate to quality.
4. Same cleanliness and sudsiness as my local auto store generic brand at $4. Sorry Meguiar's you lose, BIG time.
Will not buy again.

The product works great but when they were delivered one of the two bottles were broken and leaking.
Soap is just soap right? December 15, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm not a car snob, until last week I drove a gray 2000 Ford Taurus, which I didn't take the greatest care of when it came to cleaning. I got a new (to me) Camry and decided I'd start things off right and buy the cleaning products needed. Now I know soap's differ but I wasn't sold on one being 100x times better than the next. I know Meguiars stuff gets heavy praise from the car enthusiasts, so I figured I'd try this. It is about twice the price of the Armor All soap, but it'll last me 32 washes so it's not really that much more expensive. Now my Camry looks good, so I haven't washed it yet. But my Taurus, that's another story. I haven't washed it in a long time, and we've had a decent amount of rain lately. Did I mention I park under a tree that houses a whole bunch of crappy birds (no pun) the car is gray so it doesn't show dirt from afar, but when you get close it looked a hot mess.
Back to this soap, I was very impressed with how well it worked, I instantly noticed how effortlessly it was removing the weird residue leaves leave behind (no not sap) and it got the bird poop off without me having to scrub much at all. The foam it created was good too, thick and attacked dirt spots. As I said in the beginning I'm not one of those car snobs. So when I saw "Shampoo & Conditioner" on the bottle I rolled my eyes. But this stuff works, I wanted to try Meguiar's NXT wash, but I couldn't find it at the store I was at. I will definitely continue to use this - if I ever find the NXT I will try that to compare. And I'll definitely recommend it to people I know. It washes better than most, if not all the soaps I've used, which makes it's absolutely a good deal IMHO. @ 32 washes a bottle it will end up costing me a whole .15 more each time I wash my car over the cheap generic brand. Which is peanuts.
To compare my previous was Mr Clean Auto Dry, which I loved, but it broke. And the soap was expensive as hell - more than this that's for sure.
worth it December 6, 2009 J. Brubaker (Los Angeles, CA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you go to the trouble to wash your car yourself, you may as well use something strong but gentle and this is the best stuff I have found over many years of scrubbing!
