| Customer Reviews: Don't buy if your car "lives" outside August 1, 2010 J. Hoyt (St. Louis, MO United States) I bought these from another seller. They didn't even last 24 hours in my car. My poor car doesn't have a garage to protect it (neither at work nor at home), and extended exposure to sun and heat deforms the cling-ons. I applied them in the evening, but I had a hard time getting them to stick (perhaps because I followed the directions and cleaned the windshield first). I had to generate a bit of static electricity with my fingers before they would stick. Then when I came out the next morning to get in the car and drive in the direction of the sun to work, I found the cling-ons crumpled on the dashboard and seat. They looked like malfunctioning ShrinkyDinks. I had to throw them out before I even got any sun relief from them. It was a waste of my money. If you don't have a garage, risk these only if you have money to (almost literally) burn!
Great for blocking harsh sun in car July 31, 2010 Happy Shopper (Atascadero, CA) We have a Scion xB and the visor doesn't extend far enough to block the sun from the side of your face. A lot of the visor-extenders are awkward, or didn't extend far out enough for our big side windows. We just stick this filmy strip to the glass when needed, and sometimes we leave it on for extended periods of time. We have accidentally rolled our windows all the way down while this was on, and it didn't come off, but I imagine it could get pulled off when you roll down your window. It doesn't completely block the sun (you can see through it a bit), but it makes it far less harsh. It's nice because you can easily move it where ever it's needed, and so far they are adhering very well. It would be nice if they came with a little container that you could roll them up and store them in when not using, because if they are laying flat it seems like dust and debris will collect on them.
Good item to have June 25, 2010 Wucky Duck (Pennsylvania, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These really do work. They're easy to place on the window, then remove over & over again. I have a 40 mile drive home from work, with the sun glaring in my driver's window most of the way. With these, it's easy to block out & makes the drive much less annoying.
