I purchased this product back in early 2009 when I purchased my new car and still use this as my primary duster for the car even today. My honest opinion is everyone who has a car must get one! I am really OCD about keeping my car clean so here are my findings after almost 1 year of extensive use.
PROS:
1. It works exactly as advertised, taking care of dust and concealing very minor scratches.
2. Does not leave behind any permanent scratches on the car unlike cheaper dusters that offer similar features.
3. The handle, although a tad heavy, provides stability especially when cleaning the roof of a tall car.
4. Even one year of frequent use, the duster works perfectly fine. I don't necessarily agree with everyone that it cleans better the dirtier it gets, but it'll suffice to say that it works just as well as day one.
CONS:
1. When I first started using this product, it left semi-transparent wax streaks all over my car which I absolutely could not tolerate. Then I learned that it's just paraffin wax that the duster comes coated with and these can be easily buffed out with a soft microfiber cloth. Most of the streaking wears off after a few weeks of use.
2. This is a minor point, but my duster is not red anymore. It's virtually black in color but I suppose that's just a testament to how well it works!
3. From my usage on a shiny black car from day one, this product DOES NOT FULLY clean dried rain spots on your car as indicated by a few reviewers. It merely takes care of accumulated dust on the car, albeit very well.
After taking everything into consideration, I highly recommend this product!

I had never heard about or saw this product on TV before my Uncle told me about it & I'm SO glad he did! I just bought a new black SUV & everyone knows how hard "black" is to keep clean, even keeping it in the garage. The directions say to place it on a newspaper for 48 hours before using to get the excess wax off first & word to the wise, you should follow this first before using. I couldn't wait to use mine & it was a nice sunny day out so I used it right away. I was amazed at how shiny & dust free this thing made my vehicle, I almost couldn't believe it, it worked that well! Being that I did not follow the directions & let it sit for 48 hours it did leave a few waxy "bits" but nothing that I couldn't wipe off easily. I read one review that said this scratched someones car, no way, don't believe that nonsence (he probably used it right away) & it left a few white wax spots. This will NOT scratch your car & quite frankly I can't see how anyone would be unhappy with it. The price is great & affordable too. I am ordering the mini duster for the inside of my vehicle.
UPDATE: When I bought this exact product it was only $16.99 & free shipping through Amazon. I advise you to do a search to get the cheapest price.

This is my 2nd California Car Duster. I have found that it cleans and restores a wax finish to my car with very little effort. It is a great tool for a person that in the past did not keep up the appearance of his vehicle.
